The Game:
VEX Robotics Competition In the Zone is played on a 12’x12’ square field configured as seen above. Two alliances – one “red” and one “blue” – composed of two teams each, compete in matches consisting of a fifteen second autonomous period followed by one minute and forty-five seconds of driver-controlled play. The object of the game is to attain a higher score than the opposing Alliance by Stacking Cones on Goals, by Scoring Mobile Goals in Goal Zones, by having the Highest Stacks, and by Parking Robots. |

Team Ramtech came bursting out already winning the robot skills and sportsmanship award at the Masuk High School Competition along with the Excellence Award at the Daniel Hand High School Event. The Excellence Award won at Daniel Hand qualified Team 162A for the Southern New England Regional on March 3rd and 4th in Worcester, Massachusetts. Team RamTech then did great at the Southern New England Regional going 8-2 in the qualifiers and fighting all the way to the semifinals qualifying for the VEX World Championships for the first time ever! At VEX Worlds the team faced many issues but overall learned a lot and will be back for Turning Point!
